More information About Dyeing Shoes...
The Process used to dye shoes is waterbased. Although most professional
dye services will treat the dyed shoes with silicon, it is advised
you make every effort not to get the dyed shoes wet as the dye
can run leaving darker and lighter areas. Depending on the color
of the dyed shoes, and due to the nature of the waterbased dyeing
and the fabrics need to make shoes that will accept post dyeing,
THE COLORS OF YOUR DYED SHOES MAY LOOK SLIGHTLY
DIFFERENT UNDER DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIGHTING
You can ask your professional dye service for more details.
Tips for getting your shoes dyed:
* You should be sure your shoes have a comfortable fit prior to
getting them dyed. (a slightly loose fit is reccommended as a
small amout of tightening can occur during the dyeing process.)
* You should plan for about two weeks for the dyeing process.
* You should select a full-service shoe repair shop that has extensive
experience dyeing shoes.
* You should bring with you a fabric swatch (min. 2" x 2")
of the color you want to match.
* You should also bring with you the test fabric swatch that comes
with your dyeable shoes.
(The dyeing professionals may need this to test the color prior
to dyeing your shoes.)
* You should inform the shoe repair shop of the lighting at your
event. Some colors may look different between indoor and outdoor
light, so ask if you can arrange to approve the test swatch in
appropriate lighting.
* If you will be dyeing several pairs of shoes the same color,
it is best to do them all at the same time and place for uniformity.
* Shoe dyes can bleed or stain when exposed to moisture. You can
request your professional dye service use a water- and stain-repellent
silicon spray on the shoes after dyeing to avoid water damage.
Please be aware that shoes generally cannot be dyed again after
a silicon treatment.

ABOUT THE FIT..
Most of the dyeable shoe styles fit true to size, however, because
everyones foot is different, some styles may fit some girls better
than others. Whenever we can we will include a note about fit
if a particular style is running tight or loose as we become aware
of the size issue.
